Rannsóknarstörf við Reiknisetur í Raunvísindum

The newly founded Icelandic Center of Computational Science (Reiknisetur í Raunvisindum - RÍR) funded by the Icelandic Science Foundation with a Center of Excellence grant has several open positions for PhD and Master students. The center is a collaboration between research groups at the University of Iceland and Reykjavik University. The presently open positions are in the area of computational physics of nanoscale electronic devices.

The candidates should have a solid background in one of the fields: Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or Computer Science.  In addition they should have a good understanding of basic physics, an attraction to scientific research, and interest in computational methods.  For more information see http://www.rir.is/
