Efni: Fyrirlesturinn fjallar um tilraunaverkefni sem Siglingastofnun hefur unnið að um ræktun repju og nepju þar sem fræin eru kreist og tilraunir gerðar við að nýta olíuna úr þeim sem eldsneyti (bíodísel).

Title: Cultivation and use of rapeseed oil for Icelandic transportation
Author: Jón Bernódusson, MSc, Deputy Director of Research and Development Division, Icelandic Maritime Administration (IMA).
Topic: The presentation gives a overview on experimental project, which is run by IMA. The goal of the project is to threshing the plants, chill (Brassica rapa var. oleifera) and rape (Brassica napus var. oleifera). The oil from their seeds is possible to create biodiesel which can be used for transportation.
The lecture is free of charge and open for everyone to attend.
