MBA students and Alumni invited to workshop
With the assistance of Viðskiptaráð – Chamber of Commerce –a workshop has been set up with Dr. Aldo Musacchio, professor at Harvard Business School, for current MBA students and Alumni on February 16 at 15.00 – 17.30 (approx).
Aldo will go through two cases that he has written, which are (unfortunately!) very relevant for Iceland at the moment. The first of the cases [Iceland] deals with Iceland and the run up to the financial meltdown and the second case [The Barber of Buenos Aires: Argentina‘s Debt Renegotiation] is on Argentina‘s famous debt „haircut“, where president Nestor Kirchner gave creditors an ultimatum of accepting a swap of Argentina‘s foreign-currency public debt for new securities worth 35 cents on the dollar or get nothing at all. Needless to say, bondholders were not thrilled with the idea!
