Viðskiptadeild HR og Félag viðskipta- og hagfræðinga efna til hádegisfundar 22. ágúst kl. 11:30 – 13:30 í Háskólanum í Reykjavík, stofu M209.

Fyrirlesarar eru tveir gestakennarar í meistaranámi við viðskiptadeild HR: Dr. Dimo Dimov, prófessor við University of Bath og dr. Karl Moore, dósent við McGill University. Að fyrirlestrum loknum verða pallborðsumræður undir stjórn Salóme Guðmundsdóttur, framkvæmdastjóra Icelandic Startups, með þátttöku fyrirlesara og Þóreyjar Vilhjálmsdóttur, ráðgjafa hjá Capacent.

Dr. Dimo Dimov
Enabling new ways of thinking

Dimo Dimov is Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Bath, UK and Visiting Professor at Reykjavik University. He has been recognised recently as one of the top 100 professors of entrepreneurship worldwide. He is also Founding Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Business Venturing Insights.

Dimov holds a PhD from London Business School. Prior to joining the University of Bath, he was on the faculty at Newcastle University (UK), University of Connecticut (USA), and IE Business School (Spain). Before entering academia, he was finance director with Marriott International, overseeing two hospitality businesses in Budapest, Hungary.

Dimov's expertise is in the initiation, acceleration, and funding of entrepreneurial ventures. He works with both start-ups and established companies to facilitate the development of mindset and structures for innovative performance.

Dr. Karl Moore
Who is the Uber of your Industry – Conversations with +100 CEOs

Dr. Karl Moore is Associate Professor at McGill University and Associate Fellow, Green Templeton College, Oxford University. Prior to his academic career Karl worked for eleven years for IBM, and Hitachi. Before McGill he taught at Oxford University for five years. He has taught on executive education programs including at Oxford, Cambridge, IMD, Duke, LBS, IIMBangalore, Renmin (Beijing), and Darden. For the last three years he has taught at the Graduate level at Reykjavik University.

His publications include +150 articles, books, and chapters in books. His latest book is Leading, Managing, Working Effectively With Millennials and his next is Introverted/Ambiverted/Extroverted Leaders.

Karl was nominated for the 2017 Thinkers50 Distinguished Achievement Awards in the Leadership Category as a top thinker for his research on leaders.
