Announcement due to weather warning Thursday 26 March
This evening, the Civil Protection and Emergency Management issued a statement asking people to stay home and parents to keep their children at home if possible and informing that there will be disruptions to school services in the capital area tomorrow due to the weather. In light of this statement, we kindly suggest that all teaching at RU scheduled for tomorrow morning until noon, or until the weather warnings are lifted, be conducted online.
We expect the building to be open for those who wish to make use of the facilities at the school, but we advise you to closely follow the guidance for tomorrow through Canvas (students), Orion (staff), email, and RU social media. We also reiterate the recommendation from the Civil Protection and Emergency Management that people monitor the weather forecasts carefully and do not go out into traffic unless properly prepared.
A yellow warning will take effect in the capital area at five o’clock tomorrow morning, and an orange warning from around seven. The warnings are expected to be lifted after noon.
