The rules on the protection of whistleblowers are intended to contribute to people bringing forward information about possible misconduct in the activities of Reykjavik University. Reporting potential violations or reprehensible conduct is very important to ensure justice, safety, and trust. By bringing such information forward, you contribute to unlawful or harmful conduct being stopped, reduce risk for the workplace, and increase the likelihood of fair and responsible handling of cases.
How am I protected if I report?
According to the Act on the Protection of Whistleblowers (No. 40/2020), employees enjoy special protection if they report in good faith about violations or reprehensible conduct, see further in the rules on the protection of whistleblowers.
