Showcasing RU startup companies at Gulleggið event

The first Gulleggið 2026 event this year took place at Gróska earlier this month. Representatives from Sproti, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee of SFHR (Student Association of Reykjavik University), presented RU Sprotasól, which showcases some of the startups that have emerged from student projects at RU.

This year, Gulleggið will place special emphasis on ideas in the fields of life sciences, biotechnology, and drug development. In connection with this focus, Alvotech and the Fruman Biotech Cluster will award special prizes for the best idea in these areas.

Participation in Gulleggið can help create a real launchpad for ideas that stand out by increasing visibility, providing access to a strong network, and offering support for further development. This makes it a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs, researchers, and innovators to present their ideas and gain momentum for the next steps.
