The first Gulleggið 2026 event took place at Gróska on Friday, October 24. The programme featured an introduction to Gulleggið, Iceland’s largest entrepreneurship competition.

Representatives from various companies met and spoke with attendees, and the musician Floni provided live entertainment to set the mood.

The Gulleggið competition officially begins in January with a brainstorm-session, followed by a Masterclass programme designed to develop business ideas and prepare presentations that enable participants to take the next steps in their entrepreneurial journey.

Ten teams will then be selected to compete in the final event, which will be held in the Gróska main hall in February.
