University of Southern Maine Visits Reykjavík University
Representatives from the University of Southern Maine visited Reykjavík University on Wednesday, October 15th. The purpose of the visit was to further strengthen the ties between the two institutions, which have an existing exchange agreement for student mobility.

Ragnhildur Helgadóttir, President of Reykjavík University, and Ólafur Eysteinn Sigurjónsson, Dean of the School of Technology, welcomed the delegation on behalf of RU.

Representatives from both universities participated in discussion groups where topics such as grant opportunities, dissemination of scientific research, collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence, and the development of international exchange programs for students and visiting faculty were addressed.

The visit also included a guided tour of the university, showcasing various exciting facilities and ongoing research projects.
Many of the guests are currently in Iceland in connection with the Arctic Circle Assembly, taking place in Harpa, 16-18 October.
