University Office established at RU

University Office is a new support service within Reykjavik University, built upon the foundation of what was previously known as the President’s Office. The University Office handles various administrative tasks for the entire university while also providing essential support services to the university leadership, including the President, Deans and Department Chairs.

Among the Office’s responsibilities are industry relations, sustainability, innovation, strategic planning oversight, university collaborations such as NeurotechEU, legal consulting, file management, public relations, and communication with ministries and institutions. Previously, these tasks were handled by project managers reporting directly to the President. With the establishment of the University Office, the coordination and oversight of these and other projects has been strengthened.

Ólöf Vigdís Ragnarsdóttir is the Office Manager. She previously served as Director of Industry Relations and Innovation at Reykjavik University.

"With the creation of the University Office, we enhance visibility and services for university leadership and departments. Our emphasis will be on quality assurance and organization to ensure oversight and knowledge retention. Strong collaboration with university leadership and departments is key to maintaining efficiency and consistency in the university's operations," says Ólöf.
