Dr. Aldís G. Sigurðardóttir promoted to Associate Professor
Dr. Aldís G. Sigurðardóttir has been promoted to Associate Professor at Reykjavik University’s Department of Business and Economics. A committee of academics unanimously recommended her promotion.
The committee consisted of the following academics:
- Dr. Friðrik Már Baldursson, Full Professor at the Department of Business and Economics at Reykjavik University, chair of the committee
- Dr. Lára Jóhannsdóttir, Full Professor at the School of Business at the University of Iceland
- Dr. Andrea Caputo, Full Professor of Strategy & Negotiation, Department of Economics and Management, University of Trento
Aldís has worked as an assistant professor at RU’s Department of Business and Economics since 2022.
Conclusion from the evaluation report:
“Dr. Aldís G. Sigurðardóttir received her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Reykjavik University in 2018 and has been Assistant Professor in the Department of Business and Economics since 2022, having previously held the same position at the University of Twente. Her field is negotiation, and her published research runs from negotiation tactics in business to-business settings through strategic adaptability to decision-making in ransomware crises.
She has published her research in international outlets and serves on the editorial board of Conflict Resolution Quarterly. She has taught at bachelor’s, master’s and executive levels, and has supervised theses at all degree levels. The committee finds that Dr. Sigurðardóttir fulfils the criteria of Reykjavik University for the title of Associate Professor and recommends her promotion.”
