Menntasveigur closes on 30 October, and the Strætó bus stop is moving
From 30 October, Menntasveigur will be closed to traffic due to construction work at Borgarlína. The Strætó bus stop will move to the parking area by the roundabout near the main entrance. Access to RU is unchanged.
A new phase of the Borgarlína construction work on Nauthólsvegur begins on Friday 30 October. The project is a joint undertaking by Betri samgöngur, the City of Reykjavík and Veitur. The contractor is Grafa og grjót ehf., and the engineering firm Efla is supervising the works.
Bus Rout
The bus stop on Menntasveigur will be taken out of use, and a new stop will open near the coach parking area by the roundabout close to the main entrance. The move takes effect on 30 October.

The number of Route 8 services has also been increased. Route 8 now runs every 10 minutes on weekdays at peak times, connecting RU with the University of Iceland and the city centre.
See further information on the Strætó website.
