Reykjavik University has received the Jafnvægisvogin 2025 from the Federation of Women in Business (FKA). It is awarded to managers of companies that have achieved the goal of equal opportunities for gender equality. A total of 90 companies, 22 public institutions, and 16 municipalities received the recognition this year.

Ester Gústavsdóttir, Human Resources Director at Reykjavík University, and Elísabet Þóra Jóhannesdóttir, HR Specialist at Reykjavík University, accepted the recognition on behalf of the university.

We are proud of this recognition, which provides both encouragement and accountability in our work. We must not rest on our laurels and will continue to promote and ensure equality in our operations. Reykjavík University is a large and diverse workplace, and we want to make sure that everyone is welcomed with open arms.
