Scientists from Reykjavik University have secured spots on Stanford University's list of the most cited researchers in the world, representing the top 2% of scientists globally.

The list is published annually by Elsevier and is considered one of the most prestigious of its kind. It is based on data from the Scopus database and includes over 160,000 scientists out of an estimated eight million currently active worldwide.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to how far we can reach when talented minds work together.

The list is divided into two categories: one based on citations in the year 2024, and the other based on a researcher's entire career.
