Take a step towards your future at Career Days in RU
RU Career Days 2026 will take place at Reykjavík University from January 20–22. The highlight is on Thursday 22nd, when, from 10:00 to 14:00, 61 companies and organisations from diverse industries will attend Sólin in RU to present themselves.
At noon that day, Mrs Halla Tómasdóttir, President of Iceland, visits RU for a talk titled "Leaders of the Future," hosted by Dr Gunnar Þór Pétursson, Dean of the Department of Law, with opening remarks by Dr Ragnhildur Helgadóttir, President of RU.
In addition, 22 companies and organisations will offer visitors short “micro interviews” in rooms M325 and M326 from 10:30–11:30, on Thursday, 22 January. There is no need to register; attendees simply arrive and will be directed to interviews.
Career Days are an important part of building a bridge between university studies and professional careers. University students have the opportunity to explore the diverse operations of outstanding companies, while company representatives get to meet the future professionals of the labor market. We are especially honored to welcome Ms. Halla Tómasdóttir, President of Iceland, for a talk where she will inspire students and other guests and offer a realistic perspective on the role of leadership.
Says Hrafntinna Viktoría Karlsdóttir, Project Manager for Industry Relations and Sustainability at RU.
Several additional events will be held in connection with Career Days, including CV and cover letter preparation and job interviews, and Opportunities on LinkedIn. Please note that these events and Leaders of the Future will be held in Icelandic.
Career Days (Framadagar HR) are held annually at Reykjavík University with the aim of giving all university students in Iceland the opportunity to familiarise themselves with companies and explore a wide range of possibilities for summer jobs, future employment, or project-based work
All are welcome to attend Framadagar on Thursday 22 of January.
