Prerequisites
- Undergraduate degree (BA, B.Ed., BSc) or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Good command of the English language.
- Work experience after graduation (minimum 3-5 years).
Application
All applicants must submit an electronic application and attach the required accompanying documents in English:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Official Transcripts of Diplomas
- Personal statement answering the question:
Why am I pursuing an Executive MBA degree, and what are my short-term and long-term goals? (max length 1000 words) Mandatory in English. - Names and contact information of two references (listed in CV)
- A letter of recommendation from one individual who can assess the applicant's ability to participate successfully in the Executive MBA programme. The letter can be in either Icelandic or English. A letter of recommendation shall be sent by e-mail to emba@ru.is. Please note that all letters of recommendation must come directly from the person who gives the recommendation.
We evaluate all aspects of the application and specifically focus on:
- Academic excellence and experience.
- Leadership potential and a responsible approach to business.
- International outlook and intercultural competence.
- Personal qualities and contributions, such as teamwork skills and overall collegial behaviour and willingness to share and learn from others.
Please note that not all applicants are admitted due to the limited number of spaces on the programme. All applications are confidential.
Tuition fees
Tuition fees are divided equally between four semesters, and each semester is paid in advance.
Confirmation fee
To confirm registration, the confirmation fee must be paid in advance. The confirmation fee is a non-refundable part of the total tuition fees.
Fees include:
- All teaching and teaching materials (e.g., books, cases, simulations & etc.)
- Access to teachers from the world's leading business schools
- Access to meeting rooms and a dedicated study area for EMBA students
- Preparatory courses
- Personality tests
- Numerous activities
- Light refreshments during teaching weekends
- Mandatory study trip to Boston. Teaching materials, instruction and catering during the teaching days are included. Flight, accommodation and transport are not included.
Student loan fund
The Icelandic Student Loan Fund (LÍN) grants the Executive MBA programme tuition loans.
