Bio
Leifur Leifsson received a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech, USA, in 2006. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the School of Science and Engineering at Reykjavik University (RU), Iceland. Leifur is the director of the Laboratory for Unmanned Vehicles (LUV) at RU. He is also a member of the Engineering Optimization & Modeling Center (EOMC). His research interests include computational and experimental aerodynamics, surrogate-based optimization, multidisciplinary design optimization, and unmanned vehicle design. Prior coming to RU, Leifur held positions at Airbus UK and Hafmynd.
