Center of Risk and Decision Analysis (CORDA)
CORDA – For a better understanding of uncertainty
The need to better decipher the uncertainty of our world has arguably never been more important.
The undercurrents shaping our views are, for instance:
- Increased volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) impacting the managerial domain
- The impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on several divisions of management
- The projectification of the organizational and public realm
These forces determine the CORDA activities. The mission of CORDA is to advocate and carry out activities in the form of research and knowledge dissemination that enhance our understanding of the world in the context of the above-written assumptions.
CORDA encourages cross-functional co-operation with industry, government and academic institutions in Iceland and abroad for the purpose of improving decisions, increase risk awareness and augmenting the project management profession.

The operational level of the organization structure is fully project-based.
Decisions on projects and other endeavours are taken within the framework established by the mission, vision and general objectives of CORDA.
